TIPS FOR CHASING AFTER YOUR GOALS IN 2015

It's a new year! What's your strategy for achieving your short and long term goals?

1. WRITE DOWN what it is you want to achieve. Whether its as small as cleaning up that over-cluttered closet in your bedroom or as big as starting your own business enterprise, do not fail to put your goals down on paper. There's something about translating our thoughts into written words that helps us to conceptualize our vision, dreams and goals in a much clearer way.

2. Place or hang your written goal in an area of your home where you spend the most time so that each time you see your written goal it will serve as a visual reminder of the dreams and goals you want to achieve

3. Find other people who have already achieved what it is you want to accomplish and use them as points of inspiration to get to where you want to be. Ask  these individuals questions if possible and seek their advice to enable you to plot your own roadmap toward success

4.Gather as much resources as possible in order to successfully execute your plan. Resources such as information, capital, and even other people who you can trust to hold you accountable for either the success or failure of your goals can be very useful in helping you to make positive and strong headway in the direction of your intended objectives.

                                Top Newsmakers

                                             ROB FORD

It was his name that you heard on every major magazine, newspaper, News channel, etc... As details of an alleged drug use swirled across various media sources, we covered our faces in shame, wondering when all the drama was going to end. But when its all said and done, we've got to give the Ford brothers and family credit for sticking together. Who else can be dragged down the proverbial mud and still come out on top with relatively high public approval ratings? Only Ford.. Gotta love this guy no matter what.

                       NELSON MANDELA

There are no words fit enough to describe a man who was indeed a giant in his native homeland of South Africa and in the world at large. Nelson Mandela was born on July 18, 1918 into the Madiba clan. After losing his father age of 12, Mandela would continue to grow in strength and wisdom. He completed his BA degree at the University of South Africa, and obtained a 2 year diploma in law which allowed him to practice law. In August 1952, he and his colleague, Oliver Tambo opened South Africa's first black law firm. As a freedom fighter, Mandela would become one of the most popular figures in leading the anti-apartheid movement in South Africa in efforts to eradicate the many injustices of white minority rule. On July 11, 1964 Mandela was sentenced to life imprisonment for issues relating to his involvement in the movement against apartheid and was released on February 11, 1990. He died on December 5, 2013 in his home after a long battle with a lung infection and was given a formal state funeral in Pretoria, South Africa. The monumental occasion of his funeral was marked by the attendance of thousands of people and scores of dignitaries from all around the world.
Nelson Mandela's famous quote:
"If our expectations – if our fondest prayers and dreams – are not realised, then we should all bear in mind that the greatest glory of living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time you fall." ~ Nelson Mandela at a reception hosted by President Bill Clinton at the White House, Washington DC, USA, 22 September 1998

Justin Bieber was steady in the headlines in 2013.  Several accusations were levied against him- some of which include  attacks against paparazzi, allegations that he spit on eager fans from his hotel room balcony, and speculation of drug use after a stunt gun and marijuana were found on his tour bus. Some of the negative media surrounding Bieber were so trivial in nature especially the frenzy and nonsensical outrage over pictures of the young entertainer touching the Stanley cup with his bare hands. Despite all the bad media in 2013, Justin's "Beliebers" were thrilled with the announcement that he had reunited with previous girlfriend: Selena Gomez.
