Tiwa Savage Opens up about her marriage- Deception, Infidelity and more.

Tiwa Savage, the highly renowned Nigerian Entertainer and Musician whose Marriage to Tunji Balogun, (populary known as Tee Billz) has been the subject of media coverage for some time, sat down with an interviewer for an honest heart to heart conversation about the pitfalls of her marriage, disappointments and experience as the sole breadwinner in her home. The usually glamarous singer was simply dressed, reflecting the somber mood of the current state of affairs in her home. It is important to note that by engaging in this heartfelt interview, Tiwa Savage shows us the human side of herself. Yes, Celebrities too face the same problems as ordinary people. Life isn't always a bed of roses. The one thing which does matter in the end is the courage to confront and seek solutions to problems as they arise and also the courage to remove yourself from toxic situations and people, even if they were once at the center of your life. The recognition of an existing problem is the fist step toward redemption; Putting yourself first by seeking help and counsel and reaching out to others is the second step to healing.

By being truthful about your marital circumstance you give courage to the multitude of men and women suffering in tumultuous relationships who feel so trapped and ashamed in their current situations that they just dont know how to move on and find peace in their own lives.

Is Donald Trump Going to Be America's Next President?

I thought it was a joke when I heard that Donald Trump was running for United States Presidency. Not because I have anything against the man, but because I thought he didn't exactly embody the same virtuous characters I see in Obama...like humility.

However, I do admit that I find myself more fascinated with Donald Trump as the race for the presidency heats up. He commits all the social faux pas which most of us would not expect from one who is contending for the highest political position in the United States. Love him or hate him, the fact remains that Donald Trump's running for Presidency has revitalized a considerable level of interest in the Republican party.

 He has made it far more interesting to watch and follow Politics in general because most of us can't wait to see what he's going to say next. And if you think Donald Trump isn't the right man for the job and you ask him why he's so confident that he would be right pick, he just may bite you with this reply which has almost become his trademark slogan: "Because I'm rich...I'm vey rich."

As we all know in America,  (The land of the brave and free), anything is possible and Trump just may surprise us all to clinch the win.. Who knows? In the meantime lets keep watching this exciting and entertaining moment in American Politics.

How far are people ready to go to achieve a celebrity look alike? 28 year old Thalia Almodovar, a transgender female has already spent $30,000 to buy some of the same outfits worn by the trendy Kim Kardashian. After being mistaken by several people who thought she was the famous dark haired beauty, Thalia decided to take her Kardashian act a little more seriously. She's constantly posing for the cameras as people stop her everywhere for a snapshot or two. In total Thalia has spent $100,000 while perfecting her celebrity status image.

A prayer for our Brothers and Sisters in Syria

    

Father, I pray that you accept the souls of all those who have perished in Syria. I pray that you intervene in that nation and help bring an end to the chaos in that country. Women, Men, Babies and children have perished and many innocent lives who began this year with us are no longer with us. Make a way for the refugees and as many of them flee that nation into other countries, I pray that you will provide help for them in the form of Angels Among us. May men and women rise up everywhere to lend them a helping hand.

Refusing to hide in the background or succumb to society's predisposition to "fat shaming", Whitney is undeterred by the negative remarks of people who think she's crossing the lines with such bold exposures of her body size and personal story. The once slim dancer instead challenges all of society's expectations for women like her and is even paving the way by training others in the art of dance.

Tracy Morgan gets married

Tracy Morgan- The American Actor and Comedian  known for his eight seasons as a cast member on Saturday Night live has married his girlfriend 14 months after his highly publicized car accident.  On June 7, 2014, he was a passenger in a Mercedes Sprinter bus which was involved in a 6 vehicle crash. The bus carrying Morgan was struck from behind by a tractor trailer operated by Wal Mart. The crash led to the death of James McNair, Morgan's friend and collaborator.

After the accident, Morgan was transported by Helicopter to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey for treatment. He suffered a broken leg and femur, broken nose, broken ribs and underwent leg surgery.

 On August 23, 2015 Morgan proved that its possible to bounce back from life's unexpected tragedies when he married 28 year old Megan Wollover in an emotional ceremony. He achieved his dream to walk her down the aisle without a cane or wheelchair after enduring intensive therapy treatments. The happy newly weds have a 2 year old daughter together.

Justin Houston signs $101 Million Deal with Kansas City Chiefs

  Linebacker Justin Houston just signed a $101 Million  Deal with Kansas City Chiefs in a 6 year contract that includes a guaranteed 52.5 Million dollar payout.The contract has been proclaimed as the richest in Chiefs History and the highest offer made to a line backer in the history of the NFL. In a statement, Justin maintained that he had always wanted to stay in Kansas city and that Coach Andy Reid motivated him to become a better player. In a statement released by coach Reid, he mentioned that Houston has a relentless work ethic both on the field and in the classroom. He also stated that Houston is a fearless competitor who provides the team with excellent leadership.

Face slashing at an upscale Times Square Hotel

Three Canadian women from Ontario have been arrested after a woman was attacked at a party held in an upscale Times Square Hotel. The victim followed the suspects to the Lincoln Tunnel where she reported the assault to Port Authority. She required 36 stitches after being attacked by the perpetrators who were armed with a bottle and drinking glasses. All three women were arrested on charges of assault, gang assault and weapon possession.They have been identified as 35 year old Monique Boakye-Yiadom, 26 year old Aleesha Williams and 30 year old Amy Walker.

Bank of Canada cuts interest rates as economy rolls into a recession

     Bank of Canada has reduced its interest rate down to 0.5% in order to encourage continued borrowing by businesses and consumers as the economy entered into a recession in the first half of the year. The Bank's estimate of national growth in 2015 is significantly lower than its April projection. The reduction in growth is believed to be the result of significant declines in oil industry investment in new projcts and also due to lower number of exports. The bank expects the economy to improve during the summer season and through the balance of 2015. The Central Bank's decision to reduce interest rates is expected to have a direct influence on private lending interest rates on items such as lines of credits and variable mortgage rates.

Serena Williams takes over the dance floor on July 12 after iconic victory

After Serena Williams won her 6th Wimbledon title, she celebrated by dancing on stage at the Champions' ball in London with the men's singles winner Novak DJokovic by her side. The victory signified a 4 year winning streak for Williams as she beat out spanish competitor Garbine Muguruza. Williams is ranked number 1 in Women's single tennis and has acquired the most major singles, doubles, and mixed doubles title wins among all current professional tennis players.

Ciara went public just a few months ago with her new christian beau, NFL player Russell Wilson. The happy couple joined President Barack Obama and the First Lady at a state dinner held at the White House in honour of the Japanese Prime Minister. Fans couldn't be happier to see her smiling and glowing again after her much publicized breakup with her son's father.

Criminal Investigation Underway in Bobbi Kristina's alledged "bathtub drowning"

According to sources, bruises found on Bobbi Kristina's body have led investigators to suspect some possible foul play in her reported bathtub drowning incident which has resulted in her placement in a medically induced coma since January 31. CNN reports that Nick Gordon is the current focus of the investigation especially since the cause of injuries found on her body are yet to be explained. Bobbi Kristina- daughter of the late legendary singer Whitney Houston is currently receiving medical attention at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. Family members including her grandmother Cissy Houston and father Bobby Brown have gathered by her bedside to support her at this difficult time.

Toronto ranked as the best city in the world to live

A report compiled by The Economist has placed Toronto on the number one spot for the best city to live in the world. 50 cities which were analyzed were chosen based on factors such as availability of data. Issues such as safety of infrastructure, personal safety, digital security, health security, livability, cost of living, food security, business environment and democracy were also closely examined. Montreal was the only additional Canadian city to be assessed and it came in 2nd place behind Toronto. Though Toronto scored first place as the overall best city to live in, it scored 8th place in the safe cities index and Montreal came in 14th place. The title of safest city was awarded to Tokyo due to its strong digital security performance while Singapore assumed the second place position in the same category.

Phillip Phillips sues to get out of American Idol Contract

The 11th season winner of American Idol has filed a lawsuit against 19 entertainment, the company which produces the popular television show. The suit claims that the producing company along with its affiliates manipulated him. Among the grievances filed is the allegation that he was forced to perform for Jet Blue (a sponsor of the show) for free. Another claim was made that 19 Entertainment got as much as a 40 percent pay out from any of his endorsements. Phillip's lawyer defended his claim describing his client's agreement with 19 entertainment as "oppressive." A spokesperson representing the idol producer has refuted the allegations, stating that the company acted within its rights and that the company has always carried out its business dealings in Phillip's best interest.  The petition was filed with the California Labour commission on January 22.

Women in South Korea struggle to maintain careers

A lack of reliable and adequate childcare system in South Korea is forcing a lot of women to compromise their careers in order to care for family and children. As a result, the careers of hundreds of thousands of women in South has been compromised in a society which is largely dominated by men. Government data showed that 22.4 percent of married women aged 15-54 quit their jobs last year due to childcare related issues. Adding to the growing problem is the fact that low wages give women even less motivation to re-enter the workforce after a hiatus. According to president Park-Geun-hye, the first woman to lead the nation, a $46 million dollar venture fund would be set up to help future business leaders.

Obama pledges $4 billion investment deal with India

Obama, the first American president to attend India's yearly Republic Day parade, pledged $4 billion dollars in investments and loans to strengthen business partnership between the two countries. The leaders spoke at various events and even recorded a radio program together. Obama then stated that there is much untapped potential within the US-India relationship. Currently, India accounts for 2 percent of US imports, and 1 percent of exports. According to Obama, the U.S. export-import bank will finance $1 billion in exports of Made- In- America Products while the U.S.overseas private Investment Corporation will lend $1 billion dollars to small and mid-sized businesses in rural areas of India.
